Message

It is with great joy and appreciation that I see the vibrant growth of Vijayapuram Social Service Society. The Society always strives to keep the spirit of the Lord in liberating the people from the bondage of poverty, illiteracy and culture of silence. The accomplishments highlighted herein give a clear picture of the relentless and selfless services undertaken by VSSS towards the poor and the needy. I am happy to learn that VSSS is very particular to reach out the poor without any caste and creed barriers.

The Society still has a long way to tread for the establishment of a just society as envisioned. Our call in the present challenging situations of tragedy, horror, brokenness, terrorism, utter poverty, tentacles of disease and current practice of oppression, atrocities on the marginalized remind us to reflect and to recommit ourselves.

I do hereby exhort all the development actors to extend their creative participation in the journey to the goal.

I wish to commend the indefatigable efforts of the Director and the uphill struggles of his staff in bringing major changes in the lives of the disadvantaged.

Fourty seven memorable years laden with nostalgic memories and unforgettable experience, fourty seven wonderful years in the fulfilling service of the poor! We have moved through all the rungs of the ladder…. Charity, institution, economic development, skills training and employment, rural development, community development. Indeed our involvement with the poor continues…unbroken, making it possible to easily identify with the aspirations and hopes, the challenges and problems that every poor must face and experience.
